Has VIDEO (gaming) TECHNOLOGY advanced to this point, yet?
by 3D G33K
I’m planning to purchase a Wii FIT gaming-system for myself. Before I buy a gaming console, I want to know how ADVANCED the Video gaming technology has become, before I have to buy a newer / advanced console within a short time span. %I heard some “gossip”(??) about a 3D-television set that senses who / what is sitting in front of it so it can produce the best picture. Is this technology already available to the general public and is it usable for video game systems?

If you are wanting to buy something that will take advantage of the 3d capabilites you would want to purchase a PS3. Advanced video gaming technology are not words used to describe the Wii. You will also need a 3dtv to take advantage of 3d blu-ray.

The type of tvs your talking about are not available yet or maybe ever. And the wii is the least advanced console out right now. It is pretty much just a gamecube in a new shell. If your wanting the most advanced get a ps3 or to a lesser extent an xbox 360.

The Wii isn’t that advanced. It’s just revolutionary in terms of gameplay

What you are seeing right now is the current state of gaming: HD console, BluRay as in PS3′s case, online etc. As for the Wii, it’s advanced in terms of its mechanics courtesy of motion control features. Graphically, it is very inferior.
I think bestbuy’s going to start selling 3D TV sets soon. But I am not positioning myself to be in the know about it as I am not excited about no 3D bullsh*t. I am happy with my PS3 and my Wii and my LCDHDTV and that’s what I care about gaming-wise right now.
The latest for sure is that Sony has pirated Wii’s motion sensing technology with their own version of the Wii remote. They call it PlayStation Move. It works similarly with the Wiimote but looks like a dildo lol. But I heard that the feedback is better with the PS Move. We’ll never know for sure until it comes out later this year. Moreover, there are a bunch of games already lined up for PS Move. Microsoft’s Project Natal for the Xbox 360 is also under development and it uses motion sensing WITHOUT any devices on hand. Just a camera or something. But during the GDC 2010, there were rumors that IT SUCKS. And that feedback is sh*tty.
On the Nintendo side, they are coming up with a 3D Nintendo DS without the use of 3D glasses. I think they said it’s coming out in 2 years time.

there something called project natal coming out on xbox worth about 70 pounds. It senses every movement and is only for the xbox 360
