What kind of 3D glasses do I need for movies like “Haunted Castle” 2001?

by 3D G33K

I downloaded a few 3d movies. . . . a lot are the red/green type which is fine with glasses I have. But, some shorter IMAX types appear to be two flat images laid over each other with a bit of static/lines to them. I’m just not quite sure what kind of glasses I need to buy to view them correctly. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas. :)

If you just have a regular monitor it can only do 3d that uses the colored glasses. Anaglyph (red and blue-green or cyan), trioscopic (green-magenta), or colorcode (yellow-blue). If you don’t see the double images in these two color combinations then it is either polarized 3d or field sequential 3d. These you have to have a monitor that can do these 3d formats. From what you described it sounds like field sequential and you have to use shutter glasses with it and have a monitor that can switch between the double images. Polarized monitors have to have a sort of coating on the screen so each of the horizontal lines have one of the two polarized light waves for the double images.
