Are movies in 3D at the cinemas good? Are they better than 2D movies?

by 3D G33K

I want to watch the movie, Avatar 3D, but I don’t know if it is good in 3D. I normally get a headache if I watch it in 3D, so I don’t know if I should watch Avatar in 3D at the cinemas now.

    For me yes

I guess it is better in 3D there are just some effects that gets you more concentrated in the movie.

and it give the movie depth (Literally) you will feel that there are some objects closer than to you than the other objects in film.

If my answer was what you are looking for please chose as best answer

yes they are HELL GOOD it feels like you could just reach out and touch it
the picture pops out at you all through movie unlike at home were it just pops out in bits of the movie
i think if your choosing to see a movie in 2D or 3D them you should definatly pick 3D

but the glasses kind of annoy me LOL

Sí señor, a mi me gustan las peliculas en 3D porque sientes como sí realmente anda en la pelicula.
No mas lo que no gusta esl pagar $12.50 por un boleto.

Well, it depends. Firstly, if you wear glasses, you have to put another pair of 3D glasses on top to watch the movie in 3D. Also, it might be irritating for little children. I don’t know about other people, but after I watch 20 minutes of the movie, my eyes start to hurt.

But the movie experience is much better. You get closer to the characters and have a great time just looking at the 3D objects popping out of the screen.

But 3D might not be suitable for some movies. Serious movies for e.g. The Departed are all about the plot and the acting. Making them in 3D will only take away your attention and concentration and therefore you will not get a clue of what the movie is about.

A 3D movie will not be better then a 2D movie because it is 3D, the better movie will always be the one with the better story and the one that entertains you most.
Avatar in my opinion can only be watched in 3D and it is prob the best 3D example that is there for you at the moment, because with out the 3D and the other technologies that went into making it, it would just be one really cliched story and I don’t believe it would be as popular. So my answer is yes it is really good in 3D, don’t bother watching it in 2D, it is a 3 hour movie though so if you are worried about getting a head ache keep that in mind, but watching it in 3D would definitely be a good experience for you if you are interested.

I think you will like Avatar in 3d. In 2d you will not seen the added effect that 3d has. It is more like icing on the cake, it just adds an effect that makes it more interesting to look at.
