I use Cinema 4D professionally. Maya is also great.

Cinema 4D is about $2,400, and Maya is about $2,600.

Both are spline based modeling systems. Cinema uses Quad polygon modeling, and I believe Maya uses Triangle polygon modeling.

i recommend “blender” to people startin off cuz it’s free and it works awesome. the GUI is a little odd but u will get used to it.

I believe there is one called Maya, which is what most gaming companies use to create their characters.
Cost: (your not going to like it) $7000

There is also another one that is fairly good and comes with a game engine build in, odd interface but you would probably get used to that easily (EDIT: srry I forgot to name it, its called Blender)
    Cost: Free
