Breakdown : 1) Time Freeze Demo Modelled a human character & environment in Maya. Digital Photos applied as textures. Camera fly around. 2) Rotoscopy & Compositing Foreground characters rotoscoped and positioned on Background plate. Colour corrected to match tone. Done in Shake. 3) Wire Removal Wire erased by using pieces cut from adjacent frames. Pasted Elements colour-corrected for flickering light of source footage. 4) Curl Noise for Procedural Fluids Project suggested by Andy Lomas (Framestore CFC). Nurbs Curve drawn to represent solid. Animated solid leaves behind turbulent wake when flows through particles. Done with Maya API. 5) Facial Rig in Maya Clusters controlling face SurfaceConstrained to underlying nurbs surface. Clusters glide over nurbs surface to simulate flesh sliding over bone. 6) 3d Modelling & Lighting 3d model of ARRI Flex 535 camera. Ambient occlusion faked with directional shadowed lights distributed over sphere pointing towards object. 7) Mel Scripting Script controlled walk cycle, with controls for length of stride and amplitude of swing etc. 3d Modeller Simple polygonal modeller in OpenGL. Implemented Maya style view controls, translation, scale & rotate tools , component selection and polygon extrude.
